Realistically - there are a lot of things that you can do when it's time to clean your bathroom. But, to stay in guidelines and make sure you get the full scoop and a quick and productive cleaning, check out this video on how we do it!
But, to give you a step by step on this video, lets talk about what is recorded and the details behind it:
What you will need to begin:
Step 1: Take out all of the dirty laundry, and take it to your laundry bin - tackle this task when you're getting ready to do all of the laundry.
Step 2: Throw out all of the trash
These 2 steps will get rid of nearly everything that doesn't belong in your bathroom making it easy to get to work.
Step 3: Move all items out of the tub and shower into the sink - this will give you an easy access platform to clean your tub and shower. Make sure to add in any shower accessories in the tub so those can be cleaned at once too. "Get your microfiber cloth and terry cloth, time to get to work!" Start by wiping the top ledges of your showers with your wet terry cloth with cleaning solution. Then work the shower walls on all sides. After, use your dry microfiber cloth to go over the walls. This will wipe off any left over cleaning residue and particles.
Note: You will notice many times through this video you are instructed to use a microfiber cloth after proceeding with each item. When you clean off you surface followed up with the microfiber cloth, this removes excess cleaning solution, picks up any particles such as hairs, and leaves your surfaces smooth and shiny without any debris.
You may notice after cleaning areas, your microfiber cloth may get to soiled, just have a bag for your dirty linen ready to toss it into and grab a new clean one and continue. Same with the terry cloth, when it becomes too soiled, toss it into the linen bag and grab a new one!
After cleaning the walls, then make your way down to the rim of the tub as well as the outside base of the tub. Clean with your terry cloth, and dry down with your microfiber cloth. Make your way inside the tub to clean the walls, the shower floor, and any shower accessories you may have to clean. Lastly, you will use your microfiber cloth to buff out any watermarks your faucet may have. Once you have completed the tub and shower, you can now add back in the items that belong in the shower/tub in a neat and presentable manner.
Step 6: Although this is not a common to do list on everyone's "ideal" standard clean list, this task really only takes a minute to complete, and if it builds up too long, it can get stuck and grimy and take many minutes to clean. Step 4 is the window ledges. It's as simple as cleaning with your wet terry cloth + cleaning solution, followed up with the microfiber cloth to dry and polish up!
Step 7: Remove all items from your countertop
Step 8: Clean your light switches and outlets
Step 9: Clean your Counter ledges
Step 10: Clean your Countertops
Step 11 & 12: Clean your Sink & Nozzle
Step 13: Clean and counter nick nacks that need attention
After going over steps 8-11 you will go over all of those items with the microfiber cloth to get the final touch done. Don't forget to wipe your counter ledges or behind the sink
When you get to your mirrors, splash them with a little water. Then go over them with a dry terry cloth until all is clean and no smudges are left behind.
Moving on to the toilettes: You want to start with the top, and make your way down inside and out, top to bottom to get a full cleaning. Surprisingly, it only takes about 3 minutes to clean your toilette so long as you haven't left it to rot and decay in hard lime scale.
Finally, you move on to the floors. This is another quick and simple process. Use your floor vacuum to pick up everything on the floors. Here at LA Maid Pros, we think these work much better than your traditional broom. While brooms push up dust in the air, the vacuum just sucks it right up. Not to mention these vacuums are extremely light. The Bissel floor vacuum also has a detachable head so you can easily grasp the corner or pick up any bigger items that the main vacuum head couldn't pick up. These are also very cost efficient, only $19.99
After you get done doing the main vacuuming, detach the vacuum head so you can get the edges of the bathroom.
Once the vacuuming is complete, soak up two terry cloths and spray them down with your favorite floor cleaning product. Ring out the terry cloths so they aren't too wet, drop them on the floor flat. Use one foot for each cloth to go over all of the floor. This method is very quick and easy to do, the pointer of your toes can usually get to all cracks and edges easily. Then as with anything else, repeat this method with dry microfiber cloths to give it the final touch.
Lastly, replace any of the remaining bathroom items that you may have taken out, and you now have a clean bathroom in 30 minutes!
Again, there are many other things that you can accomplish in your bathroom such as the baseboards, doors and door frames, and inside of your cabinets, but for the sake of giving users a peace of mind on how to clean your bathroom in just 30 minutes, we put this video together for users like you!
