What to know about baseboards? Most commonly, this is a missed task on the cleaning chore list.
Although it is not a high demand cleaning chore, once done, it will make your home stand out brighter and it will remove those allergens!
Over time, dust and debris build up on these guys, and sometimes splash marks of different forgotten spills wind up on these panels, then, soon starts to dim the life of your home.
Here at LA Maid Pros, we recommend that baseboards be cleaned every 1 to 3 months depending on how dusty your home usually gets.
There are a couple methods that you can use to clean them.
Option 1 (Maintenance Cleaning): You can generally go over the basic maintenance with a broom and sweep off, or if you would like to go full hands on, you can go hands and knees with a microfiber cloth to clean the dust away.
Option 2 (Detailed Cleaning): When your baseboards have started to develop a sticky hold on the dust that has built up, you are going to want to use a damp terry cloth (wash cloth) with cleaning solution and go over your baseboards section by section. Have a microfiber cloth along side of you so you can dry and wipe away and lingering residue.
