Cleaning countertops can be very complicated and a time consuming project if not done correctly. This can also use up a lot of unnecessary cleaning solution if not done correctly. It can also be done poorly if not done the correct way. But, it can also be a simple task if these instructions are followed.
1.) The first thing you always want to do is remove all items from surfaces so you have a fresh platform. You may just want a quick wipe down, but by removing all items, you will see the best result.
2.) Gathering all the tools you will need to accomplish this job. Here at LA Maid Pros, we like to use terry cloths aka rags as the tool to do the actual cleaning. They are less likely to tear, and they are easy to be cleaned. The second tool you will need is a microfiber cloth,, which is the "fuzzier" version of a rag. And lastly, most importantly, your favorite cleaning solution! But, please note, some countertops require special solutions so you don't tarnish or damage - such as granite or wood countertops.
3.) You will want to spray the areas you are cleaning with solution and let it set for a few moments. If there is an extra soiled area that needs more scrub effort you will want to spray a little extra solution directly on these spots to soak for a little extra time.
4.) While the solution is setting you will want to wet your terry cloth with warm/hot water (Not too hot! You don't want to burn yourself). Ring out the cloth and begin to start cleaning your counters sections at a time.
5.) After cleaning the area with the terry cloth, you will need to go over each section with your microfiber cloth to buff out any solution smudges and to remove any extra particles that were left over while processing step 4. As you go through your counters on this step, you will want to shake off your cloth to remove any residue that you picked up along the way.
Overall, this task should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete! After completing the instructions as shown above, you will notice a very smooth and shiny surface! Give it a try - run your fingers right over your counters, you'll be able to look and feel a remarkable difference!
